MEET ROCHELLE

Rochelle: Author, Speaker, and Family Woman

Rochelle Ramathe is the author of *Black Faces in White Spaces* and a speaker dedicated to empowering organizations with practical diversity, equity, and inclusion solutions. Her journey is a living testament to the beauty of diversity.

Born in Edmonton, Alberta—which she's convinced is the coldest place on the planet—She's the proud daughter of immigrant parents from Jamaica and Barbados. Her parents were foster parents who raised two Native Canadian children, Kim and Grant, along with another foster child who was Caucasian, blind, and unable to walk or talk, Amanda. Growing up in such a diverse household taught her the power of inclusion and the value of creating spaces where everyone feels they belong.

She's lived in South Korea for three years, where she met her husband, who hails from South Africa. Together, they're raising two teenagers, so she's no stranger to the art of navigating teen drama, curfews, and, of course, the never-ending search for missing socks!

When she's not speaking or writing, you’ll find her enjoying chocolate-covered almonds, reflecting on how rich and diverse life can be. Her mission is to help workplaces create inclusive spaces so all employees can thrive.
